Passive visibility, and more...

I put yellow/gold flowers on my new ride. Will be adding Skene Designs Photon Blasters and P3 lights over the next weekend.

I've got a die cutter (Sissix) from when I was a Girl Scout leader.

Very clever and looks great. I've not seen that before. Nice new ride.
I've been there before. Can I get there, again?

Out of curiosity, is the material you're cutting from retro-reflective?

Is retro-reflective a brand? A web site? 3M Scotchlite is one of the brands I used. Avery makes some as well... have a friend who works in graphics and he spun a deal on a quantity of the black reflective sheeting. I'm out of black. need to find more.

I got the yellow and orange from http://www.reflectivelyyours.com/generic37.html I've had the black, and the silver. Just ordered more of the SOLAS (Save Our Lives At Sea) reflective tape. SOLAS is head and shoulders more visible in more conditions (including RAIN) than anything else out there.

These folks are another source: http://motoreflective.com/

Basically, retroreflectors (apparently spelled without the hyphen) are specialized reflectors that are designed to reflect as much light as possible directly back at the light source (or, to put it another way, with as little scattering as possible). Most reflectors on vehicles and reflective clothing/tapes use retroreflectors now, since they're basically the best thing to use for night visibility. Looking at the links you gave, though, they do indeed seem to be retroreflective products.
