Hi Woodlandsprite, glad to see us coming back.
I've been there before. Can I get there, again?

I'm curious how your journey on your Cyclone is going. Really like the bike but opted against it as I want an established dealer network vs any old shop. Bad battery aside, that is. :)

I LOVE my little cyclone so far :) (bad battery has me kinda cranky, but that happens to all bikes)
I haven't had to do any significant repairs or maintenance on it - did the oil change with minimal fuss (needed husband's help to break a couple of the bolts loose since they seemed to be torqued way down). The customer service from CSC has been great - they are responsive to questions, and quickly ship out replacement parts when/if needed. There is a good group of folks over at Chinariders.net that have been very helpful with regards to my wrenching questions, especially as someone new to motorcycle maintenance.

It's been forgiving to learn on - much less twitchy throttle than my husband's bike (BMW F800GS) and lighter too!
It will do freeway speeds, but I haven't had it out on the freeway much yet - today was supposed to be a much bigger day for freeway riding, but we all know I'm not doing that on account of the battery problem :P

There are a number of these bikes out and about, and so far, everyone seems to be quite happy. The motor in the bike is apparently well established, and several of the guys have put a significant number of miles on theirs in less than one year with no issues :)

I will say if you are uncomfortable about working on your own bike, this bike would not be a good choice. It seems as long as you are willing to learn how to do the basic care and feeding of the motorcycle with this bike, it should be a faithful companion :D
