River Safety

hello,
I just thought I would say, when near water please wear your life jacket, even if you are only putting your feet in. It does not take much current to sweep you off your feet and pull you downstream. I volunteer with Kern County Sheriff Search and Rescue Kern Valley Unit. We do the rescue and recoveries along the Upper Kern River and part of the lower Kern River. I have already pulled enough people out this year. Please don't became another victim. Here is the link that a LA Times reporter did on what we did over the 4th of July weekend.
