Reference info from the TWF forum

Postby FinchR88 » Wed Jul 06, 2016 9:07 pm

Hi friends!

It's been awhile since I've been on here, so I'll save the rambling to a minimum... (Saved for a different thread! I figured since I keep obsessively visiting LOTW, I should start contributing and stop lurking so much....no matter what my riding status is at the moment.)
but this has been on my list of things to ask about ever since this forum went live:

So... when TWF announced that it was going dark soon, I spent a day or two frantically gathering all the reference material from the forum that I could. It felt too awkward to gather info from people's personal posts, but I did gather a bunch of info from most of the helpful information that was "stickied." Would anyone like this info? If so, what's the easiest way to get it to you? I was thinking I could just create a google document or something and make it public, but I'm definitely open to suggestions! I can also just post it here in this thread or a different thread if you want -- I'm in the process of organizing it now.

I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful summer of riding ... happy Wednesday!

More soon!

That's awesome! Or maybe post to topic-related forums on here? There was so much great info that was lost. Like how to change your brake fluid.

That sounds good! I can do that... now that I'm looking through the document I see it's like 46 pages long...haha! It will be much less overwhelming, broken into sections.

At the time it was more of a freakout moment...but I'm glad I did!

edit: figured as the process goes, I'll link to each place too, that way this thread won't be completely pointless........

Yup, posting the info directly into their respective sections here sounds like the best approach. And thanks in advance, that was some serious foresight archiving everything, and I'm glad it's not all lost!

Thank you so much for grabbing the info and for sharing it here. There was so much good stuff on TWF, I'm glad it's not all lost to the world.

AttaGril Finch for saving some of the TWF material and sharing.
I've been there before. Can I get there, again?
